One Bench, Whole Workout: The Park Bench Circuit
Every park bench lives a double life: 95% pigeon lounge, 5% legitimate four-station gym. Today we honor the 5%. One bench, four exercises, twenty minutes, zero membership — and a workout that covers legs, chest, arms and your relationship with Bulgarian split squats.

Station One: Step-Ups
Twelve per leg, full foot on the bench, drive through the heel, control the down. Resist the bottom-leg push-off — the top leg does the work or nobody grows. The bench notices cheating.
Station Two: Incline Pushups
Hands on backrest or seat (higher = kinder), body straight, chest to edge. The adjustable-difficulty pushup — seat level today, floor level someday, pigeon audience throughout.

Station Three: Dips
Hands on seat edge, hips close, elbows tracking back, shallow before deep. Triceps will identify themselves by name tomorrow. Shoulders complaining means go shallower — dips are earned gradually.
Station Four: the Bulgarian
Rear foot on seat, front-leg lunges. Ten per side of pure honest difficulty — the exercise so effective it needs no equipment brand, just a bench and your forgiveness.
Four stations, three rounds, one slightly judgmental pigeon. The park bench gym is open dawn to dusk, free forever, and the view beats every mirror wall in town.
